Meghan Ely is the longtime owner of OFD Consulting, one of the US's first wedding PR agencies.

Along with her team, Meghan combines extensive wedding and event experience with her formal publicity training to elevate her clients’ press.

Over the years, she has been honored regularly by the Public Relations Society of America. In 2024, Eventex named her one of the most influential wedding professionals in the industry while the Signature CEO Conference named her Speaker of the Year.
Previously, NACE bestowed upon her the honor of 2021 Speaker of the Year, while Special Events Magazine included her in a roundup of the top young event professionals in the industry.

Meghan has been a longtime supporter of event industry associations, beginning with her role as the inaugural publicity chair for the Richmond Bridal Association. She later joined a team of Virginia professionals to launch the Richmond Chapter of the National Association for Caterers and Events. More recently, she served nearly a decade on the National Board of the Wedding Industry Professionals Association, then moving into the role of the first Chair of the brand-new Leadership Development Council. In 2025, she is proudly serving on the Allied Council for the National Society of Black Wedding and Event Professionals. She is also a longtime member of RSVP Club and Emerge Event Collective.
